The history of Humanism is almost as old as the history of Humanity. But, it has only been in the last 5 hundred years that people have actively written about the philosophy. And while Humanism has arisen in every culture and in every time, to learn about modern Humanism, it is useful to start in the western rennaissance and work your way forward.
