Get Involved!

Our goal is to create a more enlightened and civil society by engaging people in rational and respectful conversations about the important issues of our time. Humanism has the power to unite instead of divide.

America owes much of its heritage to Humanist thinkers and doers. Humanism demands democracy, human rights, freedom of religion or belief, freedom of speech and assembly.

We feel that it is not enough to simply hold a Humanist philosophy.  We are compelled to act on our values and principles to strive toward our vision of a better human society.

If “reason” is to prevail, we must

  • Promote Democracy as an ethical form of government that allows for individual freedom while promoting personal responsibility.
  • Improve Scientific Literacy in the general population.
  • Popularize science and its peaceful applications.
  • Encourage individual growth aimed toward achieving a more progressive, enlightened and civil society.

There are several ways to get involved:

Become an HFA member.

Make a tax-deductible financial contribution.

Volunteer your time and expertise.

Recruit friends, relatives and associates as HFA members.
