Online Course in Humanist Activism

Humanist activism can go beyond the so-called "politics of protest," i.e., filing a lawsuit every time you see a representation of God in a public place. The  Continuum for Humanist Education (COHE) is now offering an online course on Humanist Activism.  The introductory course is free.  Visit: http://www.humanisteducation.com/area.html?area_id=1 for more information.

This course was designed to show how humanist values can be applied to the political and social issues of the day -- and why it's important to do so. HFA is very excited about this course and, again, encourages interested members to sign up and explore the possibilities.  Humanists have the ability to have more and more impact on what is happening in Florida, but we can only succeed if we expand our vision of what it is we can accomplish.

COHE is the Internet's first website offering interactive courses in humanist thought. COHE is a service of the Institute for Humanist Studies, a non-profit U.S. organization promoting nonreligious perspectives on social, political, and ethical issues and serving as a resource for and about the humanist community.
